On 11 June 2015, Hagar Singapore organised a legal workshop for NGO staff, volunteers and supporters, to unpack the new Act on the Prevention of Human Trafficking in Singapore and its implications on various fronts. Workshop presentation courtesy of the Law Society Pro Bono Services Office.
The speaker of the night was Mr Suresh Damodara. Currently entering his 25th year of legal practice, Suresh is the Vice-President of the Association of Criminal Lawyers of Singapore, and his criminal practice emcompasses a wide spectrum, including capital punishment cases of murder and drug trafficking, rape, offences of graft and fraud.
