On behalf of the Board and management of Hagar Singapore, we wish to extend our deepest condolences to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and the family of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew, our founding father. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as we share in their loss.
Mr Lee was not just a dynamic visionary leader respected all over the world, he was the man who oversaw the transformation of Singapore from a small trading post into a prosperous financial centre, and thereby giving us the foundation and resources we need to be a giving nation.
Singapore has lost a great leader who gave of himself in full measure to our country, in return for peace and stability. The greatest tribute that we as Singaporeans can pay him is to build upon the legacy he has left behind, and foster a world-class culture of compassion and giving that will truly make him proud, and set us apart as uniquely Singapore.
