19 July 2019– Swinging in style at the HAGAR Charity Golf Tournament, golfers putt their best foot forward and pitched to raise funds to enable recovery support and empowerment for vulnerable women and children who have suffered exploitation and abuse.
This year marks HAGAR’s 25th year anniversary and the organising committee cranked up the excitement for golfers bringing new treats and delights, and a radiant wave of hospitality. Flanking the team is the largest ever volunteer contingent who took on the blazing sun and smiled brightly on as they gave their best to take photos, helm novelty games on the course, and dish out snacks to golfers. PGA golf professionals, Nicholas Seng and Lip Ooi were also up in arms to give golfers a chance at playing against pros, to raise funds – all for a meaningful cause. And in an all-new twist, the Hagar Golf Organising Chairman took on golfers at the inaugural Chairman Challenge, giving golfers a fresh stroke of play.
To top it off, all golfers enjoyed a grand dinner celebration, giving generously through the auction and making donations through the evening. eThrust band put up an outstanding performance, bringing classics and evergreen music that everyone enjoyed.
The day ended on a high, reaching a new fundraising record! Thank you to all golfers, sponsors and volunteers who made this an absolute success. Click here to view photos of the HAGAR Charity Golf Tournament.
Every dollar raised would go a long way to support our trafficking survivors – assisting women and children who have survived exploitation and abuse.
This endeavour would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors whom we would like to appreciate!
