The cause for medical care, right here in the communities we reach, needs you.
Will you consider making a gift to help them get well?
Medical care is too expensive for our clients, many of whom are childrenĀ trapped in a cycle of poverty, exploitation and abuse.
Amongst them, a child in our care, Som Roth, is suffering from epilepsy. She was admitted to the ICU recently due to severe seizures. Abandoned and orphaned, Som has a rare case of epilepsy and requires immediate treatment. Your money will go towards epilepsy medicine to help manage her daily seizures, and nursing care to assist her challenging condition.
Medical treatment is also required for children at the HAGAR Community Learning Centre in Cambodia. After a healthcare screening conducted by a group of Singapore doctors in December 2017, we have found children with medical conditions that need to be treated:
- Asthma
- Bronchitis
- Eye and vision problems
- Hearing impairment
- Women diseases
- Chronic abdominal pain
- Heart disease
- Foot problem
- Slow developmental growth
- Underweight-related conditions
- Dental diseases
Your funds will be channelled towards medical treatment for HAGAR clients, including the costs of hospitalisation, surgery, medication, medical care consultation fees, follow-up care, and any incremental costs shouldered by care-givers where necessary.
We need an estimated $35,000 to cover these medical expenses and nutritious foods.
Please consider giving $100 or more by 30 April to help us get there. Like you, we want survivors of trafficking, exploitation and abuse to be well – physically and emotionally – and to lead happy and full lives.
