CAMBODIA

Sreyneang was trafficked to Malaysia and Thailand without realising she had been duped. Learning about human trafficking and exploitation, she finally understood her circumstances and is now more well-informed to make better decisions that do not harm herself.

Rescued in a police raid, HAGAR cared for Thu and helped her recover from her trauma. Thu achieved economic sustainability until the COVID-19 pandemic set her back completely.

Like so many others, Khadija found herself with no livelihood options and did not know where their next meal would come from. HAGAR supported Khadija and her family with food as they struggled through the bitter winter selling everything that they possibly had to buy a piece of bread.
