Hagar is an international Christian organization, registered as a foundation in Switzerland which works tenaciously with women and children who have survived extreme cases of abuse and exploitation.  Hagar cares for them until they can care for themselves, doing whatever it takes in recognition of the deep wounding of severe abuse. Field offices are located in Cambodia, Afghanistan and Vietnam. Funding for those offices comes from support offices in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK and the USA.

Hagar Afghanistan’s office opened its doors in 2008 and has adapted Hagar’s innovative and holistic program to meet the needs of Afghanistan’s survivors of abuse and exploitation.

The Program Development Coordinator is responsible to provide leadership to Hagar Afghanistan’s (HA) Programming Department, support program managers in all stages of project cycle management (DME), represent Hagar to in-country donors, develop quality grant applications, oversee research projects and ensure quality donor management.

The right candidate for the Program Development Coordinator will:

  • Demonstrate experience in Program Cycle Management, M&E, Reporting and Proposal Writing
  • Good analytical and strategic thinker
  • High level of attention to detail and quality
  • Able to communicate in cross-cultural
  • Able to handle pressure well!
